When you stay at Deer Lake, you and your friends are the only
ones on the
Hiking trails throughout the resort's property offer miles of hiking and exploring. Bring your camera and a bag lunch. Spend the day on our private trail system and see one of the last wilderness properties in the north woods.
During the winter months, cross country skiing may be for you. Our trail system is the best in the area . There are advanced/steeper slope areas and beginner trails that can keep you skiing for days. Snow shoeing has become one of our favorites. Cutting
through the woods anywhere on our 1150 acres can bring you to some beautiful
views! Over a mile to the north end of the property will bring you to a beautiful ridge overlooking Tamarack Lake. It makes for a great lunch spot with no one on the trails but you!
There are also a couple of public trails in the area but they are not well published and would require some research. If a ball game with your friends is on your agenda, Presque Isle has 2 great ball diamonds only 8 miles away.

yours. Our canoe, paddleboats, and fishing boats with electric trolling
motors are included at no additional charge. You will not find a more
peaceful place than a canoe ride across Deer Lake at sundown!
